BMW reveals details of new M3 and M4 powertrain

New powertrain goes under the internal BMW designation of S55 B30

BMW have revealed details of the new powertrain that will feature in the company's M3 and M4 range of performance cars, according to an Autocar report. It is a straight six twin-turbocharged direct injection gasoline (petrol) unit that will produce 424 bhp at 7,500 rpm, while it develops what is described as "significantly more" than 369 lb/ft of torque.
