Volvo Group considers shifting some Swedish production to Belgium
Would be part of a wider restructuring being considered for the Volvo Group
Volvo Trucks is said to be considering shifting some production from Sweden to its site in Ghent (Belgium). According to the report in Svenska Dagbladet, 15% of cab and truck production will move, and two production lines in Gothenburg (Sweden) would close. The union said that the decision could mean that around 500 jobs would be lost in the country.
