PSA inaugurates new Changan JV site, looks to deepen ties with Dongfeng
PSA Peugeot-Citroën has inaugurated its now completed joint-venture (JV) plant with Changan in China as the French automaker's CEO confirms that the company is looking at deeper ties with Dongfeng Motor.
PSA Peugeot-Citroën has announced that it has inaugurated a new plant in China with Changan Automobile Group under its Changan PSA Automobile Co. Ltd (CAPSA) JV. According to a statement, the ceremony took place on 28 September 2013 at the site located in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, and was attended by chairman of PSA's managing board and CEO Philippe Varin. Having set up Citroën's DS as a standalone brand in the country, the site will manufacture the DS5, which will join the DS3 and DS4 that are already being imported.
