Ford considers "more capacity" in Asia in response to booming sales
Already has five assembly and powertrain plants under construction in the Asia-Pacific region which will lift to 19 facilities in total by 2015, up from 9 in 2011
Ford is thinking beyond its already ambitious mid-decade expansion plans in Asia-Pacific thanks to booming sales in the region, reports Automotive News. "When I look at the business plan, it clearly says to me that we need more capacity," David Schoch, president of Ford's Asia-Pacific operations, was quoted as saying last week.
