Audi begins production of new A3 cabriolet in Hungary
Audi plan to increase annual capacity in Gyõr to 125,000 units.
Audi has begun production of the second-generation A3 cabriolet at its plant in Gyõr, Hungary, according to a company statement. The new model is based on the new A3 hatchback that was launched onto the market last year, the first Volkswagen (VW) Group launch to be based on the company's new MQB architecture. Commenting on the production launch Audi's board member for production Dr Frank Dreves said, "Production of the new A3 Cabriolet is another step in expanding our production capacities in Gyõr to 125,000 automobiles each year.
