Hyundai recalling 27,500 Genesis sedans in US
Recall follows a March service campaign to replace brake fluid in the affected cars which only captured 60% of affected vehicles.
Hyundai announced a recall on 27,500 Genesis sedans in the US only hours after news broke that the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) had opened a preliminary investigation in the 2009 model-year Hyundai Genesis. Specifically, this affects Genesis sedans built from 1 April 2008, to 16 March 2012. The cars will have their brake fluid replaced to address the issue, with letters being sent to owners starting in November.
