Four tyre-makers plan Indonesian investments

Combined investment of USD1.3 billion.

The Indonesian Association of Tyre Companies (APBI) reports that four foreign tyre-makers – Cheng Shin Rubber Industry Company Limited, JK Tyres, Apollo Tyres, and Shandong Group – plan to establish manufacturing plants in Indonesia. The companies will make a combined investment of USD1.3 billion in Indonesia. Of the four companies, JK Tyres expressed its interest in establishing a production plant in Indonesia last month, while Apollo Tyres has been in advanced discussions about investing in the country since early 2013
