Fiat-Tofas JV to invest USD520 mil. in new model production in Turkey

According to IHS Automotive's production forecasts, Fiat's Turkish JV will add production of the Scudo van and another unnamed van in the coming years.

Fiat's Turkish vehicle manufacturing joint venture (JV), Tofas, plans to begin production of a new model in the second half of 2015, reports Reuters. Tofas is to invest USD520 million in the project and plans to roll out 580,000 units of the model by 2023, exporting one-third of the total. The JV manufactures three Fiat models at its plant in Bursa: the Doblo, Florino, and Linea.
