Volkswagen (VW) considers local assembly of Polo hatchback in Malaysia
Appoint Eric Ong as director of the group's sales operations in Malaysia.
Volkswagen (VW) is considering assembling its Polo hatchback in Malaysia, reports the Business Times. VW would produce the hatchback at its Pekan plant in Pahang, which the group jointly controls with Malaysian automaker DRB-Hicom. The two companies plan to invest MYR600 million (USD197.1 million) in the plant to support production of the Polo.
