Ford recalls ambulances on potential engine stops

News
Recalls

The issue specifically affects the F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty ambulances with a 6.7-litre diesel engine.

Ford is recalling about 3,100 F-Series ambulances because the engines could stop unexpectedly, according to a Detroit News report. Ford says a faulty exhaust gas-temperature sensor can cause the engines to stop and not restart for at least an hour. The affected ambulances are from the 2011 and 2012 model years, mostly sold in the US, with some in Canada and other countries.
