Subaru to stop building Camrys for Toyota

Timing is not clear, but likely be concurrent with the next-generation Camry.

Toyota and Subaru have reportedly come to an agreement that enables Subaru to stop building the Camry at its Lafayette, Indiana, assembly plant. Subaru is investing in the facility as the company works towards a production target of 500,000 units per annum. Some media reports today (15 November) indicate that an executive at Fuji Heavy Industries, Subaru's parent, confirmed the decision to stop building the Camry at the Subaru plant and that the request originated with Toyota.
