SAIC-CP JV considers setting up second Thai plant
Second plant to increase capacity to 150,000–200,000 units per year
SAIC-CP, the Chinese-Thai car manufacturing joint venture (JV), is conducting a feasibility study about investing in a second Thai plant as it intends to make the Southeast Asian country its manufacturing base for right-hand-drive vehicles for both the local and export markets, reports the Bangkok Post.
