Hirotec in talks with OEMs in India, mulls USD40 million investment to produce doors

Expected to start operations in October 2014, producing closure systems for doors, hood, and deck lid

Component supplier Hirotec is in talks with at least two automakers in India to supply vehicle door assemblies, according to a report by the Press Trust of India. The report cites company director and president Takahiro Hayama as saying that the supplier is considering investing in door manufacturing, although much will depend upon the outcome of negotiations with the unnamed automakers.
