Toyota to expand output at Philippine plant
Additional investment in the plant is aimed at increasing output to 38,000-39,000 upa.
Japanese automaker Toyota plans to invest PHP40 million (USD917,700) next year to boost output at its Santa Rosa plant in Laguna, Philippines, reports the Philippine Star. The plant currently operates at full capacity, and produces 33,000 units per annum (upa). Additional investment in the plant is aimed at increasing output to 38,000-39,000 upa. Toyota currently manufactures the Innova multi-purpose vehicle and the Vios sedan at its Philippine facility, and does not plan to produce any new model until the government releases its long-awaited roadmap for the automotive industry.
