Yokohama to double output capacity at Thai plant

To double production of truck and bus tires to 2,080 units a day next year.

Yokohama plans to double production capacity at its Rayong plant in Thailand, reports the Bangkok Post. According to the report, which cited Punnaphop Boriboon, senior manager of distribution at Yokohama Tire Manufacturing, the tire-maker will double production of truck and bus tyres to 2,080 units a day next year. The expansion will allow the plant to be used as a production base for exporting to other markets in south-east Asia. The plant is able to produce 370 different types of tires and employs 1,960 workers.
