Exide Technology to offer voluntary redundancies in Australia

News

Challenging conditions prevailing in the Australian automotive industry means component suppliers will inevitably be affected.

Exide Technologies – which supplies batteries to Holden and Toyota – is offering voluntary redundancies in Australia, reports Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) News. The battery supplier is seeking to reduce the headcount at its Adelaide factory by 27 and is also axeing the afternoon shift. Employees who take up voluntary redundancy have been assured of their entitlements, with their last working day being 13 December.
