Ford temporarily idles Craiova plant on weak European demand
Announcement comes after production at the Romanian plant resumed recently.
Ford will idle the Craiova (Romania) plant again in December 2013 in response to weak demand in Europe. The plant will stop production on 12 December, with engine production to resume on 6 January 2014 and vehicle production on 8 January. Employees will be paid 80% of normal wages during the shutdown.
