Daihatsu to recall more than 764,000 minivehicles in Japan over transmission, engine defects
Potential defects in automatic transmission and engine systems on nine models including the Move, Sonica, Tanto, Mira, Pleo, and Lucra.
Daihatsu said yesterday (4 December) that it will recall a total of 764,053 minivehicles in Japan over potential defects in their automatic transmission and engine systems, reports Jiji Press. Subject to the recall are nine models made between May 2006 and November 2010, including the Move, Sonica, Tanto, Mira, Pleo, and Lucra models, the last two being supplied to Fuji Heavy under an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) deal.
