General Motors (GM), Volkswagen (VW) recall defective cars in South Korea
VW announce plans to focus on upgrading its after-sales network to boost customer satisfaction in South Korea.
GM Korea and Volkswagen (VW) have announced separately that they are recalling thousands of defective cars in South Korea, reports Xinhua News Agency. GM Korea is recalling a total of 14,261 Tosca 2.0 LPG cars because of defects in the model's vaporiser pressure sensor or idle air control valve. According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the defective passenger cars were produced between 29 May 2007 and 30 March 2009. Meanwhile, Audi Volkswagen (VW) Korea will recall a total of 3,571 Tiguan 2.0 TDI and Tiguan 2.0 TSI vehicles manufactured between April 2008 and May 2011. The affected models have defective headlights, fog lamps, and turn signal lamps caused by problems in fuse wiring.
