Nissan to assemble Mercedes-branded vehicles in Mexico.

Renault-Nissan and Daimler are said to be planning to announce an extension of their existing partnership agreement during the first quarter of 2014. Sources close to the matter have told the newspaper that Nissan will assemble Mercedes-branded vehicles at a site in Mexico, while Renault will supply more engines to Daimler. Ties between Daimler and Nissan's Infiniti brand would also be strengthened. While an agreement has been reached on the benefits to come from closer co-operation, one person said that no timelines had been agreed, adding, "It will take some months to become public."
