Ford announces job and plant investments for 2014
2014 to be biggest year for product launches in Ford's 111-year history
Ford yesterday (12 December) announced new jobs and many product launches for 2014. Ford plans to introduce 23 new global products, which will boost jobs in the United States by 5,000 in 2014, and open two manufacturing facilities in Asia-Pacific and one in South America. Changan Ford Assembly Plant No 3 and Changan transmission plant in Chongqing are both due to come on stream in 2014, as well as Ford's Camacari engine plant in Brazil.
