Volkswagen (VW) looking at major LCV production investment in Poland
No green light as yet, but approval is reportedly close.
The Volkswagen (VW) Group is close to finalising an agreement to build the next-generation Crafter light commercial vehicle (LCV) at a new production facility in Poland, according to a Reuters report. The decision to build the plant has not been green-lit yet, but approval is reportedly close. VW has been looking at a number of production locations for the Crafter model as it nears the end of its co-operation agreement with rival Daimler; the Crafter has been built in Germany since 2006 at Daimler's Ludwigsfelde and Dusseldorf plants.
