Tire-makers plan major investments in Indonesia
To invest a combined total of USD465 million until 2015 to expand their production capacities.
Several global and local tire-makers are planning to boost their investments in Indonesia, with the aim of catering to the increasing demand from automakers in the country, reports Reuters. Foreign tyre producers planning to establish manufacturing plants in Indonesia include Cheng Shin Rubber Industry Company Limited, JK Tyres, Apollo Tyres, and Shandong Group. Meanwhile, Indonesian tyre manufacturers PT Gajah Tunggal and PT Multistrada Arah Sarana will invest a combined total of USD465 million until 2015 to expand their production capacities.
