Mercedes-Benz urges Canada to adopt European safety standards – report
Cites varying set regulations, standards bigger problem than 6.1% import tariff
The president of Mercedes-Benz Canada, Timothy Reuss, says the Canadian government should accept European safety and emissions standards for new vehicles, rather than requiring automakers to re-test on Canadian specific standards, according to a Globe and Mail report.
