The Toyota Group is aiming for produce more than 10 million vehicles globally in 2014, reports local newspaper the Asahi Shimbun. The production target includes the output of group firms Daihatsu and Hino. Toyota is likely to inform parts suppliers of its detailed production plan later this month. With a hike in Japan's consumption tax set for April, Toyota has set its 2014 domestic production target at 3.10 million units on a parent-only basis, down from the 3.35 million units targeted in 2013.
