Tata Motors considers plant in Nigeria

Move follows the Nigerian government's approval for the National Automotive Industry Development Plan (NAIDP) last year.

Indian automaker Tata Motors has expressed its interest to establish a vehicle manufacturing plant in Nigeria, reports local newspaper The Nigerian Voice. In this regard, top management executives of Tata recently visited Nigeria and held meetings with the authorities of the country's National Automotive Council (NAC). The executives have been provided with the technical details, administrative requirements, and guidelines for setting up vehicle industrial plants in Nigeria.
