Aston Martin, Daimler sign technology-sharing agreement
Aston Martin and Daimler have confirmed that they have reached an agreement on technology sharing that will see the German automaker take a minor stake in the UK business.
Aston Martin and Daimler have confirmed that they have reached an agreement on sharing technology. This follows a report in the UK newspaper the Financial Times (FT) earlier this week. In a joint statement, the automakers said that the partnership is a tripartite relationship that includes Daimler's Mercedes-AMG GmbH high-performance division. The agreement has been reached after the companies explored various opportunities for collaboration following the signing of a letter of intent (LoI) in July.
