Nissan to double Indonesian production capacity this year

Plans to take advantage of the Indonesian government's low-cost green car (LCGC) policy.

Nissan plans to double its annual production capacity in Indonesia to 200,000 units during 2014, reports Reuters. The company further aims to almost triple capacity to 250,000 units per annum by 2016. Nissan intends to expand its footprint in the Southeast Asian automotive market, including Indonesia, and has ambitious plans for growth in the world's fourth most populous country.
