To invest USD500m in new plant

Continental Tire officially opened its new plant in Sumter, South Carolina (US), says a company press release. “The opening of this plant is a very important milestone for our goal of growing our tire business in the United States…The Sumter plant is an important part of Continental’s growth strategy worldwide,” said Nikolai Setzer, member of Continental’s executive board and head of Continental’s global tire business. The plant will produce Continental and General brand tires for both aftermarket business and car manufacturers.
