Suzuki plans to develop new fuel-efficient engines in Japan
Investment plans underscore commitment to keep core fuel-efficient R&D activities at home
Suzuki will develop new fuel-efficient engines at a research and development (R&D) facility in Yokohama, Japan, reports financial daily The Nikkei. These engines will reportedly be used in subcompacts and minivehicles for the domestic market, as well as models for emerging markets in Asia and other areas where fuel-economy standards are expected to become stricter.
