Toyota to recall 12,579 vehicles in South Korea over faulty seats, hybrid system glitch
Follows recall of 130 faulty Prius hybrids with faulty brake systems and 7,000 Lexus cars with faulty wipers in 2013.
The South Korean government has asked Toyota to recall 12,579 vehicles in the country due to problems reportedly detected in their heated seats and hybrid motor control systems, according to Yonhap News Agency. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport alleges that the heated seats in 5,232 Toyota vehicles, across six models, have been produced using substandard materials.
