Volkswagen (VW) to push SEAT production and sales in China
IHS Automotive production forecasts show that SEAT models are expected to be produced in China towards the end of the decade.
Volkswagen (VW) is considering production of its SEAT brand in China. The Spanish SEAT brand is the only unprofitable unit under the VW group, according to a Bloomberg report. To bring the brand back to profitability, Jürgen Stackmann, who took over as chairman of SEAT in May 2013, states that SEAT is examining opportunities for local assembly of its models in China.
