Hyundai awaiting Chinese regulatory approval for new plant

Chinese authorities are expected to give a final approval after Liang hui, the two annual political meetings, which will take place in Beijing next week.

Hyundai is currently awaiting approval from Chinese regulatory bodies to build its fourth production plant in the country. A report from Yonhap states that the new 300,000 unit per annum plant is to be located in Chongqing and Hyundai expects to receive final approval in the next few weeks.
