Honda planning further production, job cuts at UK site
Honda has announced that it is planning further production and job cuts at its UK plant on a poor sales outlook for Europe
Honda has announced that it is planning to undertake further production and job cuts at its Swindon (UK) plant on the back of what it expects to be ongoing struggles in the European market. In a statement released by Honda Motor Europe, the site will switch to a two-shift pattern from its current three-shift strategy. This will coincide with a decision to consolidate production on to a single line to improve flexibility and efficiency, and this would remain the case while demand remains at current levels.
