Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI), the manufacturer of Subaru-brand vehicles, is undergoing a serious inventory shortage as its current domestic production capacity struggles to meet strong demand, reports financial daily the Nikkei. To combat this, the company aims to invest JPY100 billion (USD968 million) annually to boost domestic Subaru output, starting in fiscal year (FY) 2014/15.
