Jaguar Land Rover’s UK manufacturing operations
Automotive production in the United Kingdom continues to buck the trend of stagnation in Europe. We take at JLR’s three main plants in Britain as they continue to scale up operations and look to introduce a new engine plant
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is one of the great current successes the UK automotive industry. Recently its Halewood factory has been unable to produce enough Evoques to meet demand, particularly from China, while the Solihull factory is expanding to produce a new range of all-aluminium models. JLR is also expanding internationally; a JV with Chery in China will produce both Land Rovers and vehicles sold under a new jointly-developed brand name.
