Nissan seeking to harness Mercedes' experience to enhance the performance of the Infiniti brand

Nissan will release a new Skyline luxury sports sedan in Japan powered by a 2.0-litre Mercedes-Benz turbocharged gasoline (petrol) engine that will be procured from Daimler, reports the Nikkei financial daily. Nissan will produce the new Skyline at its Tochigi plant, both for the domestic market as well as exports, most likely to Europe and Asia. Nissan expects to sell several hundred Skylines with the turbocharged engine each month in Japan.
