Honda to begin testing driving support system on Japanese roads in April

Looking to use the test results to verify the overall functionality and effectiveness of its vehicle-to-infrastructure communication technologies as it seeks to commercialise them.

Honda today (28 March) announced plans to begin public road demonstration testing of its driving support system next month, using traffic signal information. The testing will be conducted in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture in Japan in collaboration with the Tochigi Prefectural Police and UTMS (Universal Traffic Management System) Society of Japan.
