Brazilian light-vehicle sales, production, and exports see double-digit declines in March

Automotive sales in Brazil fell for the first time in a decade in the first quarter of 2014, with sales down 1.7% overall and car sales down 4.9%, as light commercial vehicles rose 9.6%.

Brazilian light-vehicle sales fell by 14.7% y/y in March 2014 to 229,115 units, following a 10.3% y/y gain in February 2014, according to data published by industry association Anfavea.
