Ford recalls 385,000 vehicles for rust and steering issues
Also 48,950 vehicles recalled with seatback frames that do not comply with a NHTSA standard.
Ford announced yesterday (7 April 2014) a recall on 385,750 (349,000 in the US) 2001–04 model-year Escape compact sport utility vehicles (SUVs) because rust could cause separation of the lower control arm from the vehicle's sub-frame and affect steering control, according to a Detroit News report.
