Great Wall to assemble SUVs in Malaysia

Facility will have an annual production capacity of 100,000 units by 2018

Chinese automaker Great Wall will assemble its models in Malaysia with Go Automobile Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (GAM). According to reports in The Star and by the Associated Press, the venture will have a total of RM2 billion (USD618 million) invested in the partnership to assemble Great Wall models in the local market. Of this, about RM700 million will be generated from financial institutions and banks in China and Malaysia.
