Hindustan Motors enters talks with global OEMs for JV in Chennai
Establishing a JV is believed to be crucial for the automaker to stay afloat.
Hindustan Motors (HM) is currently in talks with global automakers over setting up a joint venture (JV) at the company's Chennai assembly plant, which is now owned by one of the automaker's associates, reports the Press Trust of India. "Talks with the international companies are in an advanced stage and something will fructify definitely," said Hindustan Motors managing director and CEO Uttam Bose. Although Bose declined to offer more details, he indicated the automaker might announce an update within this financial year.
