Volkswagen (VW) to bring 10 NEV models to China by 2018, A6 e-tron to be localised in 2016
Part of the VW Group's EUR18.2-billion plan to expand capacity and product lineup in China.
Volkswagen (VW) will expand its new energy vehicle (NEV) models on offer in China. In a statement sent directly to IHS Automotive, the automaker stated that it will introduce 10 new NEV models to the Chinese market by 2018. In 2016, VW will begin localisation of NEVs in China "with a new, mid-sized, plug-in hybrid sedan from VW and the Audi A6 e-tron", the statement said.
