AvtoVAZ suspends production of Kalina and Granta until May
Slowdown in demand for the Lada's older cars such as the Kalina and Priora is being exacerbated by a deteriorating macroeconomic situation in Russia
AvtoVAZ has suspended production of its Kalina and Granta passenger cars between 17 and 30 April as a result of sluggish demand for these models, according to a company p statement. It also stated that it will temporarily halt production of the Priora model between 23 and 30 April, with all the stoppages taking place at the firm's main Togliatti plant.
