Honda India starts trial production of Mobilio MPV, launch imminent

Mobilio would be the third model based on the versatile Brio platform that also underpins the Amaze compact sedan.

Honda has reportedly started trial production of its Mobilio multipurpose vehicle (MPV). According to a report in the Economic Times, the automaker started limited production of the Brio-based MPV at the Greater Noida plant in Uttar Pradesh. The report also claimed that the model could be launched over the next couple of months, adding that high-volume models will be rolled out from Honda's newly inaugurated Tapukara plant in Rajasthan, while the Greater Noida facility will be used for models with limited volumes.
