Subaru to end Toyota Camry production in 2016
Separately, Subaru said it may expand US capacity to 400,000 units after 2017.
Fuji Heavy industries (FHI), owner of Subaru, announced on 9 May 2014 that it will end production of the Toyota Camry at its US facility, Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA), in late 2016. Subaru has been building the Camry at its Lafayette (Indiana) plant since 2007. However, the two companies will continue to collaborate on products and technology.
