VW Malaysia launches locally assembled Jetta, aims to sell 3,300 units in 2014
Move is part of VW's aggressive plans to boost vehicle sales in Malaysia.
Volkswagen (VW) Malaysia has launched a locally-assembled Jetta sedan, reports the Bernama news agency. With the launch of this locally-assembled version, the automaker has reduced the price of the nameplate by 13.4% to MYR130,888 (USD41,976). The mid-size sedan is assembled from completely knocked down (CKD) kits at DRB-Hicom's factory in Pekan, Pahang. The model is VW's fourth after the Passat, Polo Sedan, and Polo 1.6, to undergo local assembly. The automaker aims to sell nearly 3,300 units of the locally-assembled vehicle this year.
