Renault and LG Chem sign MoU on development of EV batteries

Renault plans to launch more EVs in the South Korean market through its local unit, Renault Samsung

Renault and South Korean supplier LG Chem have today (21 May) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Seoul (South Korea) regarding the joint development of electric vehicle (EV) batteries, reports Yonhap English News. C.S. Song, a spokesperson for LG Chem, stated that, "LG Chem will jointly collaborate with Renault Group for the development of next-generation rechargeable lithium-ion batteries to be used in Renault's new and premium EVs, which will be coming out a few years later."
