PSA recommits to current labour contract, Citroën C3 production reportedly moving to Slovakia
IHS Automotive anticipates that the Citroën C3 will move to Trnava for the next generation, production of which begins in 2016
PSA Peugeot-Citroën has reaffirmed the commitments that it made as part of a labour contract with its French workforce following reports relating to production of the Citroën C3 being moved from Poissy (France). Sources have told Reuters that they will be starting "technical operations" for the next generation of this vehicle at PSA's Trnava (Slovakia) site in the coming weeks. However, PSA Peugeot-Citroën has said that "the production of B [segment] mainstream vehicles outside France has no impact on the commitments the company made and consequently there is no uncertainty or question over the future of the Poissy plant." It added, "With regards to the Citroën C3 its replacement is not on the agenda and we do not comment our product plan in advance."
