Astra Otoparts to open new tyre plant in Indonesia in Q4
The 300,000 square-metre plant is located in Subang, West Java and will have an annual production capacity of 7 million units by 2016.
Astra Otoparts, the spare-parts unit of Indonesia's largest automotive distributor, Astra International, will begin operations at its new tyre plant in Indonesia during the last quarter of 2014, reports Reuters News. Director Robby Sani told the news agency that an amount of USD120 million has been made into the new plant. The 300,000 square-metre plant is located in Subang, West Java and will have an annual production capacity of 7 million units by 2016 when the plant is expected to operate at peak production levels.
